Full House on Day 2 of IFMA World Championships

The second day of the IFMA World Championships saw exciting bouts from beginning to end and many VIPs joined the event. In the elite division Germany, Slovenia, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Portugal, Thailand, USA, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, North Macedonia, Netherlands, Peru, Morocco, Turkmenistan, Hungary, Belarus, Spain – all advanced to the second round.

Current world champion Jimmy Vienot from France was one of the crowd faves winning over Estonia. One of the most exciting fights was in the 60KG division between Sweden and Thailand where both fighters went toe to toe, Thailand winning round 1 , Sweden round 2 changing his tactic and round 3 saw both athletes exchanging their entire muaythai arsenal, with Falk silencing the crowd winning by a split point decision against the home country.

In the female divisions, Finland’s Sanni Nurminen won a split decision against Thailand’s Yoohangoh and Danielle Fall of Great Britain winning against Nga Thi Lai from Vietnam showing again Great Britain’s strength.
